MX Player is the largest digital entertainment ecosystem in India with **1.5Bn+ app downloads** on Android, **300Mn MAUs** globally and 200,000 hours of content across **11 languages**!

We were a team of 60 Designers and Researchers across India and China.

I primarily led the Product/UX Design, Game Design and User Research Teams for all products in the MX Player ecosystem:

MX Player ( #1 OTT platform in India above Netflix, Amazon Prime by users and watch time, 300M+ monthly active Users),
MX TakaTak (#2 Short Video Platform in India, Awarded "Best Fun App 2020" by Google, 120M+ Users globally, 20M+ Creators)
MX Games (Designed it from its inception to 1M+ daily gamers)
MX ShareKaro (Indian ShareIt)

Present in 12 markets including UAE, US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Srilanka, Maldives, and Bhutan

My Role at MX

Co-managed the entire design team with a focus on improving the user experience and conversions for the entire ecosystem.
Chiefly responsible for working closely with product, business and engineering to form the product roadmap with user research and data.
Taking all the prioritised items from ideation to UX Design, Research and ultimately to Design QA (ensuring everything in the product ships without a single design or operational issue).
Worked closely with developers to come up with innovative solutions and push the boundaries of “what’s possible”.
Tracked each feature release with business and experience-focused KPIs. Worked with the Product and Data Team to pivot and learn from our A/B Tests.
Undertook Design Ops responsibility by mentoring the team, building a culture of research, and helping build/manage a scalable design process
Responsible for product design hiring and all public-relations activities for the design team (MX Blog)

Designed India's First Interactive Film where users can choose how the movie progresses.
